Color is dingy white or white solid colour, white with liver-brown or orange markings, liver-brown roan, liver-brown solid colour, and orange solid colour. Occasionally, seen with a brown mask. Over centuries, the marshland habitat of this dog were drained. This is when the breed's unique aptitude for searching for truffles became apparent. With it's hunting instinct suppressed, it has become very efficient at locating truffles, which is it's modern function. It is the only breed with this aptitude.
