    Krys Grandmond of Ontario, Canada sent in these photos of her female BAN, Dasher. Krys adopted Dasher when she was mere hours away from sure death at a local humane society. Krys added, "After 7 loving years in our family, she is now about 10 years old and still as gorgeous as the day we brought her home."

    FRANCE: 36-40 lbs. Approx. 12.5-15" Coat is very harsh, dry, and short; never woolly nor frizzy. Color is various shades of fawn, preferrably golden-wheaten and the rich red-brown. A small white spot on chest, may be present, but is not desireable.

    JURA NIEDERLAUFHUND
    Preference is deep black with fawn markings above the eyes, on cheeks, on chest and/or on legs. Alternately, fawn with black "blanket" or saddle. Minimal white on chest is tolerated.

    LUZERNER NIEDERLAUFHUND
    Dense grey-white or black-white; heavy ticking with larger dark or black patches. Fawn markings as per the standard.

    SCHWYZ NEIDERLAUFHUND
    Larger or smaller orange fawn or lighter fawn patches on a white background.
