Colors include sand to red brown, white, black, or spotted, with or without mask. White markings are permitted on all colors. Desert colors, sand gold, red, and cream are most common.

    PERU:
    Inca Hairless Dog - Coated & Hairless; Coated, 'powderpuff' fuzzy hair; Hairless, has no hair except for tufts on the top of head, edge of ears, feet and tail. Sizes - Small 9-18 lbs.; Medium 18-26 lbs.; large 26-55 lbs. Coated dog colors vary, with lighter colors and fawns, common. Hairless dogs have solid dark skin.
    Peruvian Inca Orchid - 20-38 lbs. 15.5"-20" Coated & Hairless; Coated has moderate length, silky, hair all over. Hairless may have short hair on the top of the head. Coated variety may be seen in any color; the Hairless' skin is heavily mottled in any color combination on pink or solid color background.

    MEXICO:
    Standard 13-22.5"/Miniature Maximum height of 13.7" at the withers.
    Hairless except for short wisps of hair on the forehead and neck. Solid colors and dark shades are preferred. The colors range from black to blackish grey, slate grey, dark grey, reddish, liver, bronze to golden yellow. Particolors occur, including white patches. Only the hairless varieties are recognized by the FCI and there is no standard for coated Xoloitzcuintli, although some Xolo pups are born with a 'powderpuff' type coat.

    Shorthaired & Wirehaired
    PORTUGAL: Large - 22-27.5"; Medium - 15.7-21.6"; Small 7.8-12", 8.8-11 lbs. Short or long coat, of medium strength; smooth in the shorthaired variety; wiry in the long-coated variety. The short coat is denser than the long coat. With the long coat there is a distinct "beard" underneath the lower jaw. No undercoat or fluff. Predominant colors are yellow, fawn shades and black (diluted or faded) with or without white markings, or, white as the basic color with markings in the listed colors.

    AUSTRALIA: 30-42 lbs. 20.5"-23.5" The Australian Dingo is a rawboned breed, never carrying excess layers of fat or flesh. Colors include red, ginger, gold to palest cream, and black and tan. Coat varies from a dense dry undercoat with a sparse outer coat of coarse protective guard hairs in cool climates, to a hard single coat in warm areas, per the standard.

    AUSTRALIA: 18"-20" Blue: The dog should be blue or blue mottled, whole coloured. The head may have black markings. Black markings on the body are permissible. Red Speckle: The colour should be a good even red speckle all over, including the undercoat (not white or cream), with or without darker, red markings on the head. Red patches on the body are permissible. The outer coat is moderately short, straight, dense and of medium harsh texture. The undercoat is short, dense and soft. The coat around the neck is longer, forming mild ruff. The hair on the head, legs and feet, is short. Per the standard.
